Last month we decided to go for a short break to island Krk, Croatia. I’ve been there many times before, mostly as a child, usually during autumn holidays. Last time I’ve been there in June with Tomaž as a part of 20.000 km with car trough Europe project. This time it was absolutely wonderful, it was warm and sunny, and the colors were beautiful. It was the perfect choice of vacation just before college started.
We stayed in a hotel in Baška and spent most of the time walking around, exploring the island. The town is situated at the south part of the island, where the rocky hills meet the deep blue sea. There are many hotels along the long beach and there are some nice restaurants in the town. In two days we walked for 25 km altogether and ended being late for dinner on both nights. :) We walked to bays Vela Draga, Vela Luka and Mala Luka.
Restaurant Nada – Vrbnik
On our way there and home, we stopped in some towns and had some traditional prosciutto and cheese from island Pag with local wine žlahtina in Vrbnik. I love trying local food and wine whenever abroad. We actually saw restaurant Nada when we stopped in Vrbnik on our way to Baška, when we arrived, and totally loved it. They have the best location, first row of houses, just above the sea, with a great view. Because we weren’t hungry and were kind of in a hurry to get to the hotel, we decided to stop and have lunch there on our way home – and I’m not sorry. :)
